Wayne Joseph Kington is a pianist and composer interested in creating immersive music that stimulates deeper listening.

“I have a very intuitive style of playing that comes from the heart and from a place of joy, being and feeling. I let feeling take over the music, you might say, I want expression to be the composer. I believe that the mind should get out of the way, so that something more authentic can come through.”

Wayne’s writing credits include the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Women’s Choir, various small ensembles, soundtracks for film and media and collaborations with singer songwriters seeking sophisticated lines for their songs.

Wayne holds a grad. dip. (composition) with first class honours from the Melbourne Conservatorium and a Grad. Cert. (composition) also with first class honours from the QLD Conservatorium.
